Terms of Use
Effective September 18, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Chaos Coordinator (“we”, “us”) for your use of the app. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What the service does
Chaos Coordinator gathers your family's school, sports, and personal calendars into one shared schedule, with reminders, change alerts, forwarded-email event extraction, and optional sharing with grandparents, sitters, and other caregivers. The service is a coordination aid — not childcare, transportation, or emergency notification.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be 18 or older to create an account. Children use the app only through a parent or guardian's shared schedule links.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in links private.
- One account per person; family members join through invitations from a family admin.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, stalk, or harm anyone.
- Forward emails you don't have the right to share, or upload someone else's private information without permission.
- Probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to break into the service or other users' accounts.
- Misrepresent a school, team, or organization, or impersonate another person.
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your content
You own everything you put into the app — events, notes, lists, birthdays, and forwarded emails. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you (including extracting events from forwarded emails and sending alerts you asked for). Delete content any time and it is removed from the service, subject to a short backup recovery window.
5. Third-party calendars and accuracy
Events come from feeds published by schools, leagues, and providers outside our control. Schedules change; feeds go stale; providers make mistakes. We verify feeds when we can, but we do not guarantee any event's accuracy or completeness. Always confirm game times and school dates with the official source before you drive across town.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for a reliable service but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change as the app improves; we'll note significant changes in the app. The service is currently free — if paid features ever arrive, their terms will be presented before you pay for anything.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including missed games or practices), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free account, is zero.
8. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service, with notice when practical.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and any disputes will be handled in its state or federal courts located in Kent County, Michigan.
